Launch of WA Education Brand in Malaysia

Alumni from Western Australian (WA) universities got their first taste of Western Australia’s new education brand StudyPerth at the launch in Malaysia officiated by the Lord Mayor of Perth, the Rt Hon. Lisa Scaffidi on Monday, 20 May 2013. The launch was hosted by and held at the Australian High Commission in Kuala Lumpur.

The event provided an opportunity for Western Australian alumni in Malaysia to learn about the findings of the WA Brand Health Audit, network with WA alumni, WA institutions and partner representatives, including Deputy Vice-Chancellors from WA universities.

In attendance to witness the official launch was the President of Murdoch University Alumni Malaysian Chapter, Mr Adrian Ong, who is also The MAAC’s Vice-President of Alumni Relations. “It was an eye opening event to discover the remarkable changes that Perth is undergoing, such as with the building of the new Perth Arena, Supercomputing Centre and also a proposed stadium in Perth,” said Adrian. “To my surprise, it was good to know that Perth is still the most affordable city in Australia to pursue a higher education while boasting a relaxing and comfortable environment,” added Adrian.
