DESCRIPTION:EVENT DESCRIPTIONThis year’s Gala promises to be a fantastic event as it will be the first gala dinner after Covid-19 pandemic and we will also be celebrating The Malaysia Australia Colombo Plan Commemoration (MACC) Scholarships’ 20th Anniversary. Apart from the art of culinary prepared by the JW Marriott Hotel Kuala Lumpur and the free flow of Australian wine\, it will be an evening of fun-filled entertainment. The MAAC together with the Australian High Commission\, will again be presenting the 2022 Australian Alumni Awards\, namely the ‘Distinguished Alumni Award’; ‘Young Distinguished Alumni Award’; ‘Young Entrepreneur Award’; ‘Community Achievement Award’; the ‘Alumni Chapter Award’ and a new award for ‘Female Alumnus of the Year’. \nOur Grand Raffle Prize this year is a trip for 2 to Australia sponsored by Qantas Airways and a 2-night stay for 2 at the Opera Room Suite in Sydney Harbour Marriott Hotel. There are also other raffle prizes up for grabs including a luxury Miu Miu handbag for the ladies. \nThe Gala will be graced by His Excellency\, Dr Justin Lee\, the Australian High Commissioner to Malaysia and other prominent officials from the Australian High Commission.
