Curtin University Alumni’s Networking Evening

Curtin University Alumni Malaysian Chapter organised a Networking Dinner at the Royal Lake Club on 8 March 2014. With attendance of more than 100 graduates and guests, Curtin University, Australia was represented by Associate Professor, Dr. Anna Parkin, the Dean International for Humanities International & Marketing Office in the Faculty of Humanities. Also among the invited guest were Curtin Alumni Founding President, Mr. L A Lim, Immediate Past President, Ms Angelia Chin Sharpe, The MAAC Vice President for Alumni Relations, Mr. Adrian Ong and MAAC General Secretary, Ms. Nicole Lim.

Curtin Alumni’s newly elected Executive Committee is headed by President, Mr. Chew Siew Wai and Vice President, Mr. Andrew Wong. Mr. Chew welcomed all graduates with a promise of good food, free flow of beers and drinks and a lot of fun games. Lucky draw totalling more than RM4,500 were given out that night, including the Grand Prize holiday to Gui Lin, China (ground arrangement for 2pax). He also gave credit to his team who have helped him in organising this event. It was a good networking opportunity with everyone meeting new friends and enjoying the night. The event also gave the opportunity for Curtin Alumni members to meet up with mates and re-kindle old memories during Curtin University days.
