MABC-MAAC-AISM-MCBC Joint Networking Evening

The Malaysian Australian Alumni Council (The MAAC) is proud to jointly organise an interesting July Networking Evening along with The Malaysia Australia Business Council (MABC), Australian International School Malaysia (AISM) and Malaysia Canada Business Council (MCBC). It was held on 31st July 2014 at Prince Hotel & Residences, Kuala Lumpur.

The evening started at about 4.30pm with a talk and dialogue session led by Ms Melissa Hutchings, who is the First Secretary, Political & Economic Section at the Australian High Commission, introducing the New Colombo Plan and Collaborative Education. Attendees were briefed on the objectives, progress, and opportunities for students and business including internships under the New Colombo Plan. Mr David Kilpatrick, who is the principal of AISM and current Chairman of the Association of International Malaysian Schools, was present and spoke on how the collaboration in education benefits students and enriches learning.

Following the talk, guests were invited to continue the evening at the ballroom at about 6.30 pm, where a lucky draw session was held, courtesy of the joint organisers. Guests spent the rest of the evening making new contacts, mingling around while enjoying some delicious food, free flow of beer and wine. More than 70 representatives from various business sectors registered their attendance through the joint organisers respectively. Among the many distinguished guests invited by The MAAC who were present that evening were Dato Marcus Kam (Group President & CEO, Pathlab Sdn Bhd), Dato Sri Dr Vincent Tiew (Managing Director of Andaman Property Management Sdn Bhd) and Mr Paul Rowell (Director, My FlexHealth Group Sdn Bhd).
